At this time Judge Davis only works with parties who are represented by counsel in dissolution cases. He pushes hard for settlement in cases and he wants to ensure that the parties are knowledgeable about their rights and options and have legal advice during the mediation process.
Experience and Expertise:
Judge Glenn Davis, during his time in private practice and on the Superior Court, acquired broad experience and expertise in family law cases.
In his two decades as a litigation attorney, prior to being appointed to the bench, Judge Davis represented clients in family law cases as part of his general practice. As a lawyer, he gained a real-world understanding of the dynamics of family law litigation and of the value of resolving those cases with a minimum of delay, stress, and expense to the parties. While in private practice, he also volunteered as a pro-tem judge to mediate numerous settlement conferences in family court cases.
Judge Davis also served as legal counsel at the Arizona State Senate during Legislative Sessions. As part of his responsibilities, he monitored and drafted legislation that impacted dissolution, custody, visitation, community property, child welfare, and other family law statutes. This experience gave him a deep understanding of the policy and law pertaining to family law issues.
As a Superior Court Judge, he presided over a busy family court division, handling hundreds of contested matters in evidentiary hearings and settlement proceedings. He resolved disputes in a wide variety of divorce/ dissolution, child custody, and family law issues, including:
In the years since he retired from the bench, he has mediated hundreds of family cases of all types, assisting the parties in reaching a settlement in the great majority of those cases.
Affordable Family Mediation
Because he believes that mediation services are particularly important and necessary in family cases, he is at this time offering a half day Zoom mediation for $450 per party ($900 total), which covers his preparation time and the first four hours of the conference. Time in excess of four hours is billed at his regular hourly rate of $300 and hour ($150 per party).
The parties will pay for services by credit card at the conclusion the conference.
Attorneys who schedule mediation services are responsible for ensuring payment of fees by the parties.
